About the event
The Beyond Incarceration Forum is a series of workshops, panels, clinics and community discussions facilitated by local Chicago organizers. Forum participants will engage various mediums in the process of naming mass incarceration as a component of the Black material condition and abolition as a response to it.
The National Prison Strike will be emphasized and connected to the general focus of this gathering, as it’s important to follow the leadership of those directly impacted by the issue at hand.
Join 400+1, the #LetUsBreathe Collective, and Black and Pink: Chicago for an exercise in imaginative Black articulation of our collective envisioning of a world beyond incarceration.
